The lack of a community pool and a guard at the gate make the HOA fees much more reasonable. About one mile to the south is Braddock Park which is fairly-large and there is a LA Fitness just a few minutes north.

Locally there are a few shops and restaurants to the south less than a mile away. Most likely the majority of your shopping and dining will be done at the Winter Garden Village to the north less than 5 minutes away from Wintermere Pointe. A Target Supercenter, Lowes Hardware, countless restaurants, clothing stores etc. are located at or adjacent to the Winter Garden Village. The WGV sets on over 80 acres and is great to live nearby. You can also be on the turnpike doing your more distant commuting in under 5 minutes.
