Golf in Winter Garden FL? Absolutely, Winter Garden FL has quite a few golf courses and even several options near the city. Of course, ours are not as famous as the ones in neighboring Windermere FL or Walt Disney World but a little-known secret is many who play those courses actually visit ours fairly regularly.
Orange County National in Horizon West (Southern Winter Garden FL) has three golf courses. They are The Crooked Cat, Panther Lake and the Tooth Executive Course. The prices are much more appealing than many people first expect and the courses can be challenging. Just a quick tip maybe choose a day it is not expected to be windy if you have the option. The area surrounding these courses is amazing and constantly improving. Beautiful lakes, homes, restaurants and entertainment can be found everywhere. These courses are less than 3 miles (straight line) of the Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World.
Another great course in Horizon West is the West Orange Country Club. This club and course is just off of Winter Garden Vineland Road in the northeast part of Horizon West. It is rather tucked away and not hard to miss. The club is a private club and has tennis courts, social memberships, dining room, grill room and banquet area. Walking is also an option for those that are so inclined.

The course is a par 71 and is available 7 days per week. The greens are gorgeous and most people will find this golf course to be well worth the cost of a membership. Several tournaments are held here each year including one for Florida’s best amateur golfers each November.
Forest Lake is technically in Apopka FL but within a 5 to 10-minute drive of northern Winter Garden FL. Well worth the drive this course has no homes that are associated with it. The fees are very reasonable while it still has several par 3s. Everything you need is available here to have a great day of golfing while not driving to far or breaking your bank. There are several outstanding courses within a 10 to 20-minute drive of the city. However, these courses above will provide you with years of enjoyment and no doubt some challenges. If you are like most people who enjoy the game the more expensive memberships like at Isleworth ($25,000) are just out of reach. Shop local, play local and enjoy the Winter Garden FL Golf Courses.
