Both of the two major political parties are represented in Winter Garden and the cities ratio is very similar to the rest of Orange County. Orlando seems to lean a little further toward democratic judging by the percentage of voting in the last presidential election.
The Republican Party has ben gaining momentum in recent years. Still quite a few people voted democrat in the previous governors race according to the Orlando Sentinel. Personally I believe the parties are more similar than they were in years past if you judge them by by the overall direction of the government and not the hysteria the media and candidates stir up. America is still America.
Florida politics have equally capable Democrat and Republicans. Voters make sure of that. Ron Desantis is admired for his stances on personnel responsibility and freedom by both Democrats and Republicans or he would not have been elected. The state legislators seem to be in support of him as well and we all know that there will be another election in Florida and we can vote for or against them. Knowing this we can voice our opinions in the voting booth and still get along with people belonging to other political parties.
We welcome you regardless of political affiliation. We give favorable consideration to people because of their deeds and actions not necessarily political ideology ( I speak for my family ). Members of our clan have diverse opinions and so do many people that you know whether you realize it or not. Make your goal to live peaceably with those around you and consider moving to Winter Garden FL.
