At the base of the tower is a roundabout where you will find the community pool and fitness center. I used to jog by this every day just because it looks so beautiful and is surrounded by ponds etc. There are more amenities like boat ramps at Lake Speer, basketball courts, parks and trails spread throughout the Independence homes.

The Amazing Area

There are apartments, townhomes and the more traditional single-family homes seemingly everywhere. This is after all one of the largest communities of Horizon West and for that matter Central Florida. Normally there are homes for sale here. You will even see lakefront homes costing in the millions here. Normally the costs are far more reasonable.

On the western side is the Hamlin area. Hamlin is only a mile or so to the east and this is where you will find the local turnpike access, Walmart Supercenter, Publix Supermarket, Cinema and many restaurants, coffee shops etc. Independence in Winter Garden FL is truly a very special place. We are not even going to mention that Walt Disney World is only 5-10 minutes away from Independence and many parts of Winter Garden FL.
